The Game

A game for all players taking place on a 20 x 20 square board labelled A-T across the top and 1-20 down the side. This is essentially a big game of Battleships “Jungle style”.

Players take the part of game hunters taking pot shots at just about anything that moves! Instead of Frigates and Battleships though we’ll have animals. Players score points according to the size of each trophy they kill.

Most animals will go straight up or across, not diagonally, except the Elephant which is a square block of four and the Snake which is a diagonal. A point is scored for each successful hit, which is deducted from the score of the animal hit. If the last square of an animal is hit, the remaining points are shared between those who hit the animal that turn instead of the single point.

Each turn a list of players and a summary of their success or otherwise will be issued.

For instance:

Earl Ian de Morn fires at H12, hitting and killing a Bear
Black Heart takes a shot at J9, hits a Lion
Horatio Van Pelt takes a shot at J13, hitting a hunter!

Objects

In addition to the creatures that your hunter is hunting, there are object placed around the Jungle that may help or hinder the progress or success of your hunter.

Hunters

In addition to being able to shot at the animals, hunters can score points for hitting other hunters in the jungle. (There your rivals after all) One point per hit. At the start of the game the hunters will be given a random starting location, and each turn they may move up to one square in any direction. When a hunter is shot he takes a point of damage. After ten points of damage, the hunter has to retire from the field of play.

Gun Flash

Each turn the gun flash from each shot is also recorded on the results map.

How to Play

Each turn the hunters will select a square to shoot at and a directionthey wish to move in.
